Super Street Fighter Mashup by Logan Zawacki
As part of tonight’s (12/14) The Games Art And Music Charity Show in Jacksonville, FL, Logan and several other local artists will be showcasing their best combos with art dedicated to the fighting genre and raising money for Child’s Play Charity, an organization that donates video games to children staying in hospitals. Pressing A to kick your buddy’s ass while also helping sick kids sounds like a worthy cause to me.

Star Wars in Medieval Manuscript by Chawakarn Kongprasert
Well, they did say it took place a long time ago, I’m just gonna assume that galaxy far, far away shared a similar artistic evolution. Which isn’t really a stretch, considering everyone in the Star Wars Verse seems to speak Standard English (though apparently illiterate). Chawakarn’s religious iconographical manuscripts depict the rise and fall of the monarch Vader and subsequent uprising (and rad wizard powers) of his offspring.
As he looks into the mirror and looks upon his new form the boy lets out an inhuman screech. Hearing this strange noise his mother races to his room, when she can’t find the boy she yells at the monster “Where is my son, what have you done to him?!” The boy still in a panic turns to his mother, but he is unable to maintain control of his emotions and they manifest themselves in a wave of psychic energy that envelopes his mother. He watches in a frenzy, helpless to his new form, as his mother is crushed by the glowing waves of energy emanating from him.
And that’s what I imagine happens after reading Kadabra’s pokedex entry in FireRed. I was planning to do more of these creepy, weird and strange Pokemon pokedex entry pieces for the month of October. (because I’m in an art slump anyway) I have a few lined up but something came up and idk if I’ll be able to get to them all.
